We have excellent links with our church and its community and value their support and guidance.
We are so blessed and grateful that our local Priest – Rev. David Ibiayo from St Margaret’s Church leads the children in worship every fortnight and offers support to our pupils, staff and families. A termly Eucharist is held in the last week of every term for the whole school community which are well attended by our families.
The school visits St Margaret’s church regularly for educational visits. The school also take part in services throughout the year at St Chad’s church, such as the St George’s day services and a yearly aspirations service.
Every half term Rev Ibiayo holds a prayer coffee morning in the community room at the school which can be attended by our church and school community as well as staff.
St Margaret’s Church is located on the edge of Bowers Gifford Marshes on the outskirts of Basildon and Pitsea, a 20 minute walk from the school. The church, a historic Grade 2(Star) listed building with English Heritage, dates back to Saxon times and holds around 80 people. Services are held every Sunday starting at 9.00am.
